An idiot to trust.

A lesson in hubris,

My dreams turned to dust.

I should have known better,

I’ve been burned before.

But this time, I’d hoped…

Now I hope no more.

  Thanks Michael. I got a bit of bad news that night- had some freelance work stolen by someone shady. I’ll be fine, was just feeling very stupid and disheartened. Now I’m just angry!
